FAQ
What does a Hope Global mission trip involve?
Many great memories are shared and made within our teams, there are plenty of outings, laughter, tourist activities and shopping sprees yet the bulk of the trip will involve running 2-3 day training conferences, mentoring educators, visiting our projects and working with different leaders and communities to train and up skill them in issues relevant to them.
The purpose of the mission trip is to work alongside teachers and schools and empower them through practical training so they can deliver a higher quality of education to their students. We also work with different community groups, church groups and local leaders training and up-skilling them in what they do.
I am not a teacher, can I still volunteer?
YES!! Whilst the bulk of what we do is train teachers, you DO NOT need to be a teacher to join our trips. We need people with the following expertise on every trip:
- Teachers (Early Childhood, Primary & Secondary)
- School Leaders/Principals
- Leadership & Management Trainers
- Administrators & IT Trainers
- Special Education Teachers/Trainers
- Health Specialists (optometrists, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, nurses, counsellors, social workers, etc.)

Our Rwanda trip is typically the longest, usually taking place for two weeks.
Our Cambodia and India trips however are shorter and usually last approximately 10 days.

A guide, a trip taking place to Rwanda is typically AUD$3,500 – $4,000 (including flights, accommodation, on-ground costs) plus fundraising costs.

Are the trip costs tax-deductible?
