Fruits of Hope Academy began as a modest pre-school class with 24 children and has blossomed into a thriving, fully accredited primary school with 30 teachers educating over 600 students. This educational transformation has been supported by Hope Global, assisting with infrastructure, teacher training, health, vocational training, and child education sponsorship. Recognised by the Rwandan Education Board as a school of excellence and as an Early Childhood Development Centre, Fruits of Hope has consistently ranked among the top two schools in its district, seeing 98% of students achieving in the top bands of the national exams.

The Academy operates in a supportive Christian environment, focusing on holistic development and ethical enrichment, offering instruction in English, French and Kinyarwanda. This environment ensures that students develop into independent, confident, and compassionate individuals. Through sponsorships that fund qualified teachers, Fruits of Hope continues to provide high-quality education crucial for lifting communities out of poverty.

The success of Fruits of Hope’s model has led to its extension to three additional schools in rural Rwanda, empowering local communities by providing essential resources and training.

Over several years, Hope Global has been privileged to send teams of volunteers to offer professional development in school management, curriculum development, hygiene, nutrition, and more. These efforts aim not only to elevate educational standards but also to transform lives and strengthen communities across the region.
