Church Planting

Church Planting

Lost people matter to God. Planting a church is the single most effective evangelistic undertaking we can participate in. Reaching people starts by developing strong churches, whether just starting or having been around for a long time, the goal is to build a healthy congregation that multiplies disciples, ministries and churches.

If I say, “I will not mention him, or speak any more in his name,” there is in my heart as it were a burning fire shut up in my bones, and I am weary with holding it in, and I cannot. Jeremiah 20:9

This is how we should feel about the story of Jesus – unable to stop telling the greatest story ever told. God has the answers to what ails the world. God has the power to transform lives with the Gospel. Church planting is the most successful way of reaching the world.

The students from our Bible Colleges are primarily church planters. Most of the students come from small rural villages that do not have a church. It is their passion and prayer to return home upon graduation and start a church, share the Gospel and build a community of believers who will in turn share their faith with their neighbor. They most often have no “church” building, but they build community, which builds resources, which build the church.

Church Planting Testimonies

”We are so happy and filled with joy,” said Thomas of the new church building. ”We were in real need of a church building where we can gather, pray and learn.” The church has been meeting in an old building, renting a small room that leaked water during the rainy season and stayed cold all winter long. “We have been praying together as a church for a building of our own for a long time. As a testimony to our prayers, the Lord has built His church. God bless everyone for their love and kind help.”

“I am the pastor of this village and living here with my family for the last 20 years. All these years, I faced so many problems in conducting the Sunday services and other church meetings under the old shed. Our church members have been praying all these years for a church building where we all can gather for worship without any problems. Now, we are able to see the answer to our prayers. This helps us grow strong in faith and continue our ministry with confidence.”
